Orthodontic treatment to prepare for implants

When a tooth has been lost, or it never developed, it may be replaced by an implant. An implant is a false tooth that is attached to the bone of the jaw. Sometimes orthodontic treatment is needed prior to implant placement to make space available for the implant, or to re-position the teeth either side of the missing tooth to facilitate the placement of the implant.
